We did it! Mary and I successfully replaced all the plumbing that goes from the skimmer to the pool filter line. Just took some 2" PVC, a few elbows, a flexible connector and loads of purple pipe solvent and cement. It has been running all day without a single drip to be seen! Total cost: under $30, a far cry from what a plumber would charge!

She can get the screen open, comes out for a drink from the water bowl, and then, plops down on the welcome mat... outside, yet close enough to scurry back inside if she likes.
